For 70+ years, dialysis has taken too much from patients

For nearly 3.5 million people worldwide, end-stage kidney disease means hundreds of hours each year spent in dialysis chairs. Jobs are lost, weddings missed, and quality of life devastated.

Three times a week, patients endure painful treatment and disruptive scheduling, while potential long-term complications and immense costs offer little meaningful improvement in quality of life.

Introducing Holly™ by Nephrodite: Designed for how patients deserve to live.

Holly™ by Nephrodite is an implantable, continuous dialysis system with a simple external connector, designed as a true kidney replacement therapy alternative.

Inspired by a young woman who persevered for years with kidney failure, Holly reflects Nephrodite’s promise to improve lives for people with kidney disease.

  • One-time surgical implant
  • No arm grafts, fistulas, or external vascular access
  • Discreet lower abdominal catheter for at-home or on-the-go dialysis
  • Cartridge-based membrane system for scheduled replacement
  • Designed to function like a healthy kidney—ensuring balanced blood chemistry

Holly delivers a next-generation portable hemofiltration system powered by our proprietary membrane platform and edge computing technology

Its core architecture can also be applied to liver and metabolic toxin management, critical care including military settings, and long-duration spaceflights or extreme environments.

Holly™ is an investigational device and is not yet approved for commercial use.

Our goal is now focused on reaching human patients to finally end the stagnation in dialysis and deliver a better, life-improving option for kidney care.
